"What in the world is a 'foddylike'?" - Every game by Bennett Foddy gives granular control over the limbs over your character. This skill expression is the gameplay, and I took that ethos when designing Nordic. The problem with cross-country skiing versus alpine skiing when it comes to a video game translation is it's just isn't as exciting. There's no tricks, not that much high speed, so how do we counter that? I made a game that leverages the mechanical, repeatable nature of cross-country skiing and made it into something that rewards rhythm and cadence.

Nordic is also about getting lost in nature, and doing so with your friends! The game has drop-in drop-out online support and we have two game modes for the web browser version. You can hop into Nordic Valley which is a mini open-world to hang-out, have short races or play some mini-games. There is also race mode which is a queued-endless race where you can compete seriously with other players or bots to get the best lap times.
